![]() ![]() There is some debris located near the border with the Lilypad Islands containing different Seatruck fragments and a Data Box for the Control Room. A few icebergs from the East Arctic can be found above, overlapping the eastern portion of the biome. The Chelicerate in this biome is swimming right above the crevice so caution is advised.įurthermore, the eastern section of the biome also contains the fissure that leads to the Deep Purple Vents. A Water Filtration Machine is also found here. Towards the eastern section of the Purple Vents, the player can find a narrow crevice containing Seatruck Sleeper Module Fragments and a couple of small cave networks containing a Data Box with a blueprint for the Booster Tank and some Supply Crates. Similarly to the Thermal Spires, the biome hosts a number of Cryptosuchuses. ![]() Lithium and Salt Deposits can sometimes be found within these pools. It is accessible from a trench located near the border between the Purple Vents and Lilypad Islands, as well as the entrance containing the Detached Thruster of Mercury II. It goes down to about 480 meters below the surface and contains an entrance to the Crystal Caves. The biome possesses very few Flora species that can only be seen thriving in the green pool-like formations that are scattered throughout the biome. The Deep Purple Vents is a deeper extension of the Purple Vents. The biome's terrain has a unique yellow coloration, is noticeably perforated in most areas, and consists of plateaus, a stark contrast to the overall gray and rocky terrain of the other thermal biomes. The Purple Vents is one of the three thermal biomes the player will visit. Two parts of the Mercury II are also located in this biome, the Stern bordering the Tree Spires, and the detached thruster room above the previously mentioned fissure that leads to the Deep Purple Vents. Spoiler alert: The following section contains story related material. Near the border of the East Arctic, there is a pit that leads to the Deep Purple Vents, and to an extent, the Crystal Caves. The biome borders the Lilypad Islands, Thermal Spires, Tree Spires, Delta Island, the East Arctic and the Sparse Arctic. These vents will burn the player when they are in close proximity to them. Thermal energy, no hostile creatures, not really deep, lots of resources can be found in sea monkey bases in kelp cave, and sometimes sea monkeys will bring your free ores. The Purple Vents is one of the three divisions of the thermal zone, a biome filled with Fumaroles spewing some kind of purple material. To me, I think that is the perfect base spot ever. That lava open is capable of building 2 thermal plants side by side, with temperature of 75 C. ![]() It is NOT DEEP!!! I only needed to build one energy transmitter to deliver the unlimited thermal energy to my base. You can clear a big zone for constructing your base by removing kelps with knife.īelow the seabed there is an active lava spawn where you can harness the thermal energy perfectly. To find it, find that super big prawn at purple vent first, get past it straightly, across a short distance of thermal spires, then you will see a kelp zone, be sure to check in kelp cave for exact location of the lava open for you to decide base set up. It is located in a kelp zone beside the twisted bridge and thermal spires zone, very closed to the purple vent zone where the big leviathan prawn is. I have already discovered a perfect spot for building a thermal-powered base. You can mix them up, but not sure the order of drain (should be: Thermal > Solar > Bio > Nuclear, in my opinion). Solar is decent, but no power during night (wonder if luminescent plants power them). (Probably done with the game before draining the 4 you put inside).īio isn't bad, depending what you feed it. Nuclear is awesome, but eventually require replacements for the nuclear rods. Solar is 150 cap, but x2 solar = 300 cap (I might have the number wrong). * Pretty sure each structure increases you power cap (every type). * The connection line doesn't get cut off from terrain. * First one needs to be kind of close to the solar/thermal. The power relays actually go pretty far, far off screen far. You can locate these from the noise or with equipment that searches. Though it surrounds the entirety of the map, the player normally enters the biome through the Lilypad Islands, either of the Arctic regions, and the Tree Spires, unlike the Crater Edge which can be entered through any given direction. A good placement should read, i believe, up to 75c (been awhile). The World Edge is a biome that serves as the border of Sector Zero’s map, encompassing the perimeter of the landmass. ![]()
